How we collect, use, and protect your information.

San Diego Health & Fitness ("SDHealthFit," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Contact form details: your name, phone number, email address, the service you're interested in, and any message you send us when you fill out the form on our Contact page.
  • Payment information: if you purchase a session package, payment is processed by PayPal. We do not collect or store your card or bank details — PayPal handles that under its own privacy policy.
  • Waiver information: if you sign a liability waiver, it is collected and stored by our waiver provider (Waiver.fr) on our behalf.

We also collect limited information automatically when you browse the site, through the advertising technology described in the next section. Pages that embed Google Maps may set cookies controlled by Google.

Advertising cookies and the Meta Pixel

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). We use it to measure whether our ads are working and to show our ads to people who have visited this site.

When you visit a page on this site, the Meta Pixel may collect and send to Meta:

  • The pages you view on this site and when you viewed them.
  • Your IP address, browser and device information.
  • Cookie identifiers that Meta uses to recognise your browser or your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • The fact that you submitted our contact or consultation form (but not the name, email, phone number or message you typed into it).

Meta processes this information under its own Data Policy, and acts as an independent controller of it. We do not control what Meta does with data once it is collected.

How to opt out. You can stop this collection at any time by:

  • Adjusting your ad settings in your Facebook ad preferences or Instagram account.
  • Blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or using your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honour as a valid opt-out request.
  • Using an ad or tracker blocker, or your device's "Limit Ad Tracking" setting.
  • Emailing us at the address below and asking us to exclude you.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and schedule sessions or consultations.
  • To provide personal training and related services you request.
  • To process payments for the packages you purchase.
  • To keep records required to operate our business, including signed waivers.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never share the contents of your form submissions, payment details or waiver with advertisers.

We share information with the service providers that help us run our business — our form-delivery provider (FormSubmit), our payment processor (PayPal), and our waiver provider (Waiver.fr) — and only as needed to provide the service you asked for. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Separately, the Meta Pixel described above sends browsing information to Meta so that we can advertise to people who have visited this site. Under California law this activity may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, even though no money changes hands. You have the right to opt out of it at any time using any of the methods listed in the section above, or by emailing us.

Third-party services

Our website links to or embeds services operated by others, including PayPal, Google Maps, Instagram, and Facebook. When you interact with those services, their own privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party sites.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

You may request to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. To make a request, reach out using the contact details below and we'll be happy to help.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. Regardless of whether those laws formally apply to a business of our size, we will honour the following requests from any California resident who asks:

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, and who we shared it with.
  • Right to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations (for example, signed waivers).
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sharing your information for cross-context behavioural advertising — see the Meta Pixel section above, or simply email us.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will never charge you a different price or give you worse service for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email us at the address below with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Training for minors is arranged directly with a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date at the top of this page.
